Aperio Global | NVIDIA
Giving a 3D capture breakthrough a human feel.
Aperio Global needed to show the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art what its NVIDIA-powered 3D reality capture could do. The message: museums are slow to adopt new technology. Preservation is the reason to. Capture an exhibit in 3D, and anyone, anywhere, can experience it. Seeing Aperio at work gives that message its weight. The possibilities hit harder when the work is on screen.
The goal was to make complex technology easy to see. Instead of a guided tour, on-site footage, two unscripted interviews, and 3D capture footage were combined into one clear story.
Inside the capture, not a tour
Built for a presentation, the video exceeded expectations and earned NVIDIA's permission for external marketing release. NVIDIA has access to it and may feature a portion, putting Aperio in front of a larger audience. The volume and quality of footage shot also created a mini library for future use.
